Patrick Kennedy comes from a family of lawyers. His wife, father, sister, aunt and uncle are all currently practicing law in Connecticut. Patrick's practice is devoted to handling cases for injured people. His cases have included medical malpractice, automobile negligence, product liability, and premises liability claims.
Connecticut newspapers have reported on some of Patrick's recent verdicts. The Connecticut Law Tribune covered a verdict he obtained in New Britain for a single mother who was injured in an automobile collision. The New London Day, Norwich Bulletin and Connecticut Law Tribune all reported on a New London case in which a contractor was injured in a construction site accident, when he fell down an unprotected, empty stairwell, which Patrick tried jointly with his RisCassi & Davis, P.C., colleague, Jim Bartolini. Both of these cases resulted in compensation substantially above the final offer of the insurance companies before trial.
Patrick has also negotiated out-of-court or pre-trial settlements for his clients. In addition to settling many of the more common varieties of personal injury cases, such as automobile accident and falls, Patrick has also reached settlements of some more unusual claims, such as injuries caused by hospital equipment or a home improvement project.
Patrick is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Connecticut Bar Association. He is also a member of the Hartford County Bar Association serving on the Young Lawyers executive committee. He is also a member of the New Haven County Bar Association.
Patrick graduated from Connecticut College, where he was a member of the soccer team and a member of the NESCAC all academic team. Patrick is a cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law. At Quinnipiac, he received the distinguished academic achievement award in Trial Practice.
Patrick is a lifelong resident of New Haven County and currently resides in Hamden with his wife and son.
